Individual Therapy Sessions

Individual Therapy Sessions at TranquiLife offer you a private, consistent space to talk honestly about what you are facing and what you want your life to feel like. Our licensed therapist, Leslie Anselmo, and other counseling practitioners work with adults navigating anxiety, low mood, grief, relationship strain, work stress, trauma histories, and times of transition.

In your first meetings, we focus on getting to know you-not just your symptoms, but your story, strengths, and the ways stress shows up in your body. Together, we clarify what you would like to be different: sleeping more deeply, feeling less on edge, communicating more clearly, or simply not feeling so alone with everything you are carrying.

From there, we draw from evidence‑based approaches such as cognitive and mindfulness‑informed work, as well as gentle attention to how emotions land in your nervous system. Sessions might include learning practical coping skills, noticing body cues for early stress, or untangling long‑standing patterns that keep you stuck. You set the pace; we provide structure, reflection, and warmth.

Because TranquiLife is a mental health and wellness co‑op, you can also choose to combine therapy with psychiatric care, massage, yin‑oriented somatic sessions, or health coaching. For example, someone addressing anxiety might meet weekly with a therapist while also receiving periodic massage to ease muscle tension, or consulting with our psychiatrist about whether medication could help.

You do not need to have the right words or a clear diagnosis before starting. Many clients arrive feeling tired, overwhelmed, or unsure if what they are experiencing "is bad enough." If you notice that stress or sadness is affecting your sleep, mood, or relationships, that is reason enough. We are here to listen, to think with you, and to help you gradually build a life that feels more grounded and livable.
