Psychiatric Medication Management

Psychiatric Medication Management

Psychiatric Medication Management at TranquiLife is a calm, thoughtful space to explore whether medications might support your mental health and how to use them safely over time. Led by our in‑office psychiatrist, Denise Hernandez, MD, and our physician associate, we start with a detailed conversation about your history, current symptoms, past medications, and what you hope will change in your daily life.

We explain options in plain language and invite your questions so you understand why a medication is (or is not) being recommended. If we decide together to move forward, we start with the lowest reasonable dose, review possible side effects, and create a clear follow‑up plan. Our goal is not to medicate you into feeling numb, but to reduce symptoms enough that you can participate more fully in therapy, relationships, work, and self‑care.

Because TranquiLife is a mental health and wellness co‑op, your medication visits do not exist in isolation. With your permission, we can coordinate with your therapist, massage or somatic practitioner, or health coach, so your plan supports your whole body and not just a diagnosis on paper. Over time, we check in regularly about sleep, tension, appetite, mood, and energy, adjusting medications as your life shifts.

Whether you are considering medication for the first time, wondering if your current prescriptions are still the right fit, or returning to care after a break, we meet you with respect and curiosity. You remain in charge of the decisions; we bring medical training, clinical experience, and a steady presence to walk beside you. If you are also interested in body‑based work, mindfulness, or lifestyle changes, we can help you weave those into your care so that medication becomes one supportive part of how you live well in your body.
